June 20 -25, 2022

A child who seldom goes to church got excited about coming to SSS because he heard that we’ll be doing sword-fighting!   That’s part of what SSS is for – to draw children in who don’t know Christ and put them in a place where they can hear the truth of God in powerful and fun ways. It’s also to take kids who are a part of our church family a giant step forward in their walk with God.

It’s about the kid down the street who has never been to a church before. It’s about the child of one of your relatives who used to go to church but gradually stopped going. It’s about the child who is part of our ministry now but their spiritual life needs a jump-start again. For some children, it changes the course of their lives.  For some children, it changes their eternity!  SO THINK – whom do you know that you could open the door for them to come to SSS?  Because who knows what God might do in their lives as a result?

To share it, you can:

  • Grab some POSTCARDS
  • Take people to our church’s WEBSITE to watch the movie trailer and/or sign up.
  • Put up one of the SSS YARD SIGNS in your yard
  • And PRAY for the lives who could be impacted or changed!

Summer Spiritual Spectacular

We have a place for you to serve:

BE A VOICE? We’re doing a recording session for the little kids’ movie-ette and are seeking 3 more voices.  If you have a dramatic voice and are available this Saturday afternoon, there are three roles, two for men, in which you could use your voice to create ministry!

LOOKING FOR OCD people: If people have suggested that you are obsessive-compulsive (very focused on detail), God can use that for a ministry of helping to edit the movie!  There are some easy pieces of work that just take concentration on detail so, if this describes you, consider jumping in!

EXTRAS NEEDED FOR A SCENE IN THE MOVIE!  Join the fun of filming and dress up as a Roman citizen.  Walk the “streets” of Rome and be part of the background in a very important scene being filmed Monday night.  Let us know if you can join us!

Contact Miss Coleen is you would like to be a part.

Summer Spiritual Spectacular

June 20-24, 2022

An exciting week for kids AND grown-ups. It’s similar to a VBS but there’s some special things that aren’t your “usual” VBS. It’s where adults come to have fun too. During that week, we make new friends, laugh, eat lots of goodies, and get to know each other better. What better way to experience BEING the Body of Christ! If you would like to be a part of making this week happen, contact Miss Coleen for more information or see the flyer in the bulletin this Sunday.

Our year-long focus is a collective journey of what it means to follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and be committed to the mission of Jesus every day. (Matthew 4:19) Throughout this year we will tell stories, share testimonies, engage in conversations, and participate in biblical teaching to learn and live in greater ways as disciples of Jesus. We seek to be disciples of Jesus in every place, every relationship and in every circumstance in our everyday lives. It is how we will carry out or mission to “Share Life and Share Christ”.

Matthew 4:19 (NIV84) – “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”
