By 2026, our church will follow a pattern of spiritual formation in one another that brings hope to broken lives where individuals and families pass on a spiritual heritage.
ecc vISION
The vision of ECC is designed by both our past (the qualities and gifts God has used to shape this local church), and looks toward our future as we build, create and find unique ways to continue what God has already started in our local church ministry. One way this vision is playing out is taking place on February 17-19th in the form of a Women’s and Girls’ Spring Retreat.
This weekend will be a time of renewal, rest, and relationship. The theme for the weekend is Identity in Christ, and we’ll be looking in depth at what (or who) is shaping us, and asking the question, “Who should be shaping us?” Through interactions that cross generations, we’ll be able to build into each other’s lives and learn from each other at a very basic level what it means to find ourselves in Christ.
This retreat is for any female in 7th grade through adult. The content of the weekend will be effective for all of these ages, and will create an environment where we can “pass on a spiritual heritage”. We encourage Grandmothers, mothers, sisters and daughters to attend together.
As stated above, two aspects of our vision “follow a pattern of spiritual formation” and “pass on a spiritual heritage” led us to the opportunity we’re presenting all women at ECC with this weekend. Couple that with our theme for the year: Everyday Disciple Makers, and it’s easy to see what we’re trying to accomplish this weekend. We want to see women of all ages, sharing life together while they’re sharing Christ together. We want to create atmospheres where we can share our stories of what God has done and is doing in our lives. And what better place to do it than in the beautiful setting of Brown County, Indiana!
