Maybe you remember it…singing songs, gobbling up yummy snacks, contests, games and so much more.  Vacation Bible School has been part of life for many children growing up and maybe it was part of yours too!  Researchers tell us that many kids who give their lives to Christ do so in a Vacation Bible School or Christian Camp experience.  What we love about it is that every part of the experience is designed not just for unsaved kids, but to take kids who already know Jesus to new heights in their walk with Him!

Here at ECC, we call it the SUMMER SPIRITUAL SPECTACULAR and it’s one exciting week for kids AND grown-ups.  It’s similar to a VBS but there’s some special things that aren’t your “usual” VBS.   It’s actually where adults come to have fun.  During that week, we let our hair down, make new friends, laugh, eat lots of goodies, and get to know each other better.   What better way to experience BEING the Body of Christ!

                So if you are not yet a part of things, here’s a few unique ways to be involved. 

• Be an actor in a mini-skit (some non-speaking, some speaking)
• Be an EXTRA in the movie! (Friday evening, April 29, banquet scene)
• Be a drummer in the BAND
• Teach sword techniques to kids
• Be the “MYSTERY SNEAK” (adults only)
• Help plan ancient Rome decorations
• Teach Drums/Percussion to kids

There are other ways – some of the “normal” ones you might think about.  But consider jumping in – be a part of making a difference!

Holy Week Worship

Beginning with Palm Sunday, April 10^th, we will remember and commemorate the final days, events, and words of Jesus leading up to his death and resurrection.

Palm Sunday – April 10^th at 8:45am and 10:45am

We will remember the procession of Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey.

Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday) – April 14^th at 6:30pm

This time of worship observes the acts of Jesus and the disciples in the Upper Room. We will worship through a meal commemorating the Last Supper, follow the example of Jesus through foot washing, and remember Jesus’ sacrifice by taking communion.

Good Friday – April 15^th at 7pm

We will commemorate the Crucifixion of Jesus as we reflect on His seven last sayings from the cross.

Easter Sunday – April 17^th at 8:45am and 10:45am

Celebration of Jesus Christ our risen Savior.

Ukraine Relief

Donations will be sent to Romanian organizations to help Urkrainian refugees. You may give on Sunday morning by listing “Ukraine” on your envelope or online by checking “Ukraine Relief” on Simple-Give.

Membership Meeting

Sunday, April 3^rd immediately following the 10am Service

The purpose of the Membership Meeting is to approve the Elders’ recommended changes to selected terminology to ECC’s By-laws for the purpose of 501c3 tax exemption.

Membership Meetings are open to the entire congregation. Members are eligible to vote.

The goal is to raise $30,000 to purchase a tractor and plow.

Mission & Outreach is challenging us to raise $30,000 by Sunday, March 27^th through monetary donations by listing “Eternal Families – Farm” on our giving envelopes on Sunday morning, or give online and check  the box “Eternal Families Farm” on Simple-Give.

Donations of metal given to Junk for Jesus will also fund the project.

A time to speak openly about struggles of Christian parenting.  This will be a time of questions and discussion.  What are you concerned about as parents? There will be a 5-week parenting elective at ETCH beginning March 23^rd as a follow-up to this forum.

Knight’s Club and a class for students will be offered during the Forum.

Meal cost: suggested donation of $3.

The event starts Tonight at 6:45pm until around 10:30pm. We gather again Saturday from 10am – 5pm. It’s not too late to join us. Donation of $25 per person.

(Matthew 4:19) Throughout the year we will tell stories, share testimonies, engage in conversations, and participate in biblical teaching to learn and live in greater ways as disciples of Jesus. We seek to be disciples of Jesus in every place, every relationship and in every circumstance in our everyday lives. It is how we will carry out or mission to “Share Life and Share Christ”.
