Miss Coleen shares about our motivation for worship and our expectations for Sundays.

June 21-25
The little one knelt at the altar. “What did you come for?”, a grown-up asked her. Her answer simple and pure – “I love Disney World more than I love Jesus!” This child had been learning all week about putting God first in her life and now she saw that her greatest love was not Jesus, but a theme park on an earth that would pass away. It’s not that this child would never go to Disney again or that she wouldn’t enjoy it anymore. She would. But it now had the right priority in her life – Jesus came first!
At the SUMMER SPIRITUAL SPECTACULAR, we’re challenging our kids to make a decision similar to that – giving everything in our lives to God. In a world that is focused on getting as much as we can for ourselves, we want to teach our kids to give all we have to God – to give Him our possessions, our dreams, our activities, our schedules, our friendships, our family – to give God everything. To go “ALL IN” with God. To SURRENDER…That’s actually what it means to be a follower of Christ.
So where do you fit in? It would be easy to brush this off and point to your many other activities. But consider giving some of your time this summer to be a part of changing children’s lives – perhaps even changing a child’s eternity. There are over 150 ways to help in SSS. It’s also a great way to get to know other people in the church and build friendships while making a difference. Come join us in taking a “POLAR PLUNGE: GOING ALL IN WITH GOD!”.

Games, laughter, learning, eating, then…praying…committing…choosing Christ…part of a five-might event for kids and families – the Summer Spiritual Spectacular! On June 21-25, the whole building will be filled with activity directed to grow kids in their relationship with God.
At our last SSS, a young girl felt God tugging on her heart and she responded by giving her life to Jesus. A team of people served snacks, led games, registered kids, taught God’s Word, worked behind the scenes Sharing Life and Sharing Christ with our kids. Generations together impacting children for eternity.
Please consider joining us and be a part of this work of God. Stop by the kiosk on Sunday to ask questions, look at options, and hear about other’s experience in SSS. There are many ways to be involved and there is one that fits how God built you. It’s a great way to get to know other people around the church and have fun as we are serving our God. Come! Join what God is doing!
When we decided we couldn’t do A Night in Little Italy in February, we were sad. We were sad because it’s such a fun event. It was disappointing because it’s a great night for our church community, and it’s a great way for our youth to serve our church. We were also bummed because it was a good source to help provide funds for students to go on youth events.
We knew nothing could replace ANILI, but we also knew we had to find a way to help students raise money so they could attend trips. On these trips and events our students are encouraged to grow in their relationship with Christ. They draw nearer to each other as brothers and sisters within the church. They also get experiences beyond themselves as they serve different communities around the country.
Well, let me just say… when we asked for money, everyone at ECC stepped up in a real big way! Your giving through the Money Wall more than exceeded our expectations, and we’re still seeing green envelopes come in each Sunday! So far, with the support of each of you, we’ve been able to raise over $5,500!
Because of your generous living, we are able to help students attend events at lower costs. We’re able to find creative ways to engage our students in the truths of Jesus Christ. We’re also able to open doors for students who don’t have a relationship with Christ find ways to attend these events!
So, on behalf of our youth group, I would like to say a big THANK YOU! You (ECC) are truly showing our students what it means to live generously and care for that which is eternal.
