WE NEED TO GET IN-TENTS! MORE TENTS ARE NEEDED to serve as extra classrooms in the Summer Spiritual Spectacular! If you have one you can loan for that week (preferably 10 X 15 or 10 X 20), contact Miss Coleen. AND, if you haven’t found a place to plug in for SSS, consider being our TENT COORDINATOR!
What a day of worship! On May 20th over 400 people gathered from ECOB and Eaton First Church of God to celebrate God and Impact the community through service. In our second year we saw once again so many of you serve selflessly and engage our community by serving in public spaces and private homes. I loved hearing stories of people making cookies for homeowners, others getting to know new people who also love the Lord, and also a story of someone reaching out and inviting an individual to the picnic that they met while serving. What a blessing to be a part of this day!
Thank you to all who were willing to worship in a little different way and be the hands and feet of Jesus. I’m grateful and so proud of this church for being willing to serve with joyful hearts. We will be sharing more pictures and some more stories in a few weeks as we talk about the “Value of Community Engagement” on July 1. I hope you will be a part of that morning worship. In the meantime I encourage you to share your stories with one another about how you participated. Thanks again for being the church in this way.
WE NEED 3-4 MORE TENTS to serve as extra classrooms . If you have one you can loan for that week (preferably 10 X 15 or 10 X 20), contact Miss Coleen. AND, if you haven’t found a place to serve, consider being our TENT COORDINATOR!
Cite Lumiere Christian School is looking for certified teachers for the 2018-2019 school year and following. Specific needs at this time are fifth grade classroom teacher and a language arts teacher for grades 7, 8 and 10. Help is also need with library, computers and maintenance.
We look for teachers who are certified either through their home countries or the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Teachers raise financial support to cover their living and travel expenses. We recommend they come with one of the Christ-centered, faith-based missions working in this area.

What does a child need to understand to become a Christian? How young can a child be and truly make that decision? Find out this and more at a seminar for parents, teachers, grandparents, and anyone who just wants to know. This special seminar will be offered WEDNESDAY, May 16 at 6pm. More information and reservation forms are available at the new Children’s Welcome Center near the front doors.
On Wednesday, May 2nd, we finished up Etch for the Spring. We had some good food, and a great time of fellowship at our Community Night! As we take a break for the summer months, we would love to get some feedback from our church about Etch so we can continue to make it ministry that honors and glorifies God and His church. We would be extremely grateful if you could take 5 minutes and fill out the following survey.
T-shirts are available Sunday, May 6 at the kiosk for those who signed-up by April 15.
The tour of the Storage Building will not happen Sunday, May 6 and will be rescheduled in the coming month.
Singing, Games, Worship, Snacks, Sports, Art, Bible Quiz Questions, Crazy fun, Parent Workshops – and the MOVIE! All this awaits us this summer at the Summer Spiritual Spectacular! Children entering grades 1-6 can choose from 3 different tracks (sports, art, or music) then grow in God’s Word in some exciting, kid-focused Bible Teaching and small group explorations. Anyone grades 7 and up can be a part of the Team in any one of 100 different unique ways – a great way to make friends and get to know your church family. Parents can enjoy one of two workshops being taught by Pastor Dan or Pastor Josh. And we’ll finish each evening with a “CELEBRATION” where we’ll worship, sing, laugh, watch the movie, and then do some business with God!
Registration opens mid-May, and positions filling now for the SSS Team. Stop by the kiosk Sunday to sign-up. This is a church family event, with ways for every person to be involved. Come to serve or come to grow!
Now that the Storage building is complete and organized, we invite you to come out and take a look next Sunday, May 6th between services and after 2nd service until 12:45 pm.
We see baby/child dedication as a time where you commit yourselves to becoming your child’s spiritual leader in life. The first step towards dedication is to set up a meeting with our Children’s Director, Miss Coleen to talk about what baby dedication means, and to give you ideas and tools for teaching your child about God. This can be an important day in the life of your family.
Praises!
